Job Tasks, Objectives, Prerequisites, Etc.
Prerequisites
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to work from complex drawings, schematics, sketches, and parts lists
- Ability to work from heights such as ladder, scissor lift, man basket on forklift and JLG lift
- Associate degree in electronics, industrial electronics, industrial maintenance, or machine shop
- Must be available to work call-ins and over-time
- Must have basic electrical knowledge; PLC training is a plus, but not a requirement
- Required to work plant shut-downs
- Three to five years practical trade training, or experience to utilitze shop mathematics.
- Working knowledge of machine and equipment construction to diagnose faulty operations on a regular and emergency basis to avoid equipment break-down
Essential Tasks
- Direct/assist outside service personnel when they are called in.
- Follow all company/equipment safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain neat and orderly work area.
- Must have the ability to perform all Die Shop functions, including but not limited to, equipment operation, making new dies, and repairing used dies.
- Perform simple/normal machining required to make new, or repair damaged parts.
- Plan, perform, or assist in the performance of various functions related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.
