Little Ayos Early Learning Center is hiring a Lead Teacher for our Pre-K classroom (ages 3–5).
Key Responsibilities
- Create a structured, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment that supports kindergarten readiness
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
- Conduct developmental screenings, assessments, and ongoing observations
- Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and language development
- Ensure active supervision and a safe, supportive classroom at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-managed classroom
- Complete daily documentation (attendance, assessments, and family communication)
- Build strong, professional relationships with families and provide regular updates on student progress
- Follow all Head Start (if applicable) and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services guidelines
- Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing professional development and trainings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
- Experience working with Pre-K or preschool-aged children preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Cleared background check
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
