We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and highly experienced Camp Leader to join our team.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: Please do not apply if you do not have direct experience working with children from Kindergarten through 6th grade. This is a short-term position. There is no time for full training. Candidates must meet all requirements listed below to be considered.
- Dates: June 8th through June 25th
- Days: Monday through Thursday
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Schedule: Days and hours depend on availability
- Work Environment: Both indoor and outdoor activities
- Compensation: Paid position (competitive rates based on experience)
- Background Check: Successful candidates must pass a mandatory background check.Key Responsibilities
- Activity Leadership: Plan, organize, and lead diverse camp activities including sports, arts, crafts, and team games.
- Camper Supervision: Ensure the constant safety, well-being, and supervision of campers.
- Positive Culture: Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where all campers feel valued.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to campers to support their personal growth and social development.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow staff members to deliver a seamless, high-energy camp experience.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records for daily attendance, incident reports, and general documentation.
- Communication: Maintain professional and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding camper progress or concerns.
- Daily Operations: Assist with general camp logistics, including mealtime supervision, setup, and cleanup.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven history working with children (KG to 6th grade) in a camp, school, or recreational setting.
- Languages: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Adaptability: Highly creative with a strong ability to improvise activities and think on your feet.
- Problem Solving: Agile mindset capable of quickly resolving daily operational challenges.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to engage and motivate children.
- Certifications (Preferred): First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Background (Preferred): Education, sports management, performing arts, or related fields.
