Position Overview:
The Host/To-Go Specialist is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience. As a host, you will greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and maintain an organized dining area. As a To-Go Specialist, you will handle takeout orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that all orders are packaged correctly and delivered to guests promptly. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to providing top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
Host Responsibilities:
- Guest Greeting: Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant and provide a positive first impression of Flavor Hills.
- Seating Management: Manage reservations and the waitlist, seat guests in a timely and efficient manner, and balance table sections for servers.
- Communication: Inform guests of any wait times and provide accurate and timely updates as needed.
- Dining Room Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly host stand and dining area, ensuring that the entrance is always welcoming and organized.
- Guest Assistance: Answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, and assist with any special requests or accommodations.
To-Go Specialist Responsibilities:
- Order Handling: Accurately take, process, and package all to-go orders, ensuring that they meet Flavor Hills’ quality and presentation standards.
- Quality Control: Double-check all orders for accuracy, including modifications and special instructions, before handing them to guests.
- Guest Interaction: Greet and engage with guests picking up orders, confirming order details and providing a friendly and efficient experience.
- POS System Management: Use the point-of-sale (POS) system to enter orders, process payments, and print receipts.
- Curbside Service: Provide curbside delivery of orders as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient pickup process.
- Team Support: Assist with hosting duties during busy periods and provide support to the front-of-house team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Compensation and Benefits:
