JOB TITLE: Quality Supervisor
DESCRIPTION: The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for the successful implementation of the quality assurance systems and food safety programs. The role will be responsible for ensuring the systems are functional, efficient and develop achievable objectives to ensure a safe production. The Quality Control Supervisor will also provide expertise in the facilitation of the IFDF quality programs and system controls to the senior management team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide leadership and direction in the implementation of the quality assurance systems to ensure safe production.
• Understand the requirements of the quality assurance program at IFDF and evaluates the efficiency of the program.
• Implement and maintain HACCP based food safety plans
• Manages Quality personnel performance and supervise day to day work to ensure safety requirements are upheld.
• Provide guidance directly to the senior team with respect to quality assurance, personnel matters and technical delivery.
• Provide advice on new approaches and directions for the development and implementation of QA programs.
• Collaborate with company stakeholders externally and internally to establish and maintain expectations.
• Provide technical expertise in supporting equipment maintenance and service.
• Directs quality management initiatives that arise from quarterly assessments and evaluations.
• Coordinate activities to ensure company policies and client requirements are met according to the quality objectives.
• Identify IFDF requirements to deliver clientele expectations for quality products; develop procedures for project implementations.
• Monitor quality assurance programs and manage the progress to ensure deliverables are met on time.
• Have an understanding of the SQF Food Safety Code: Food Manufacturing and the requirements to implement and maintain an SQF System relevant to the site's scope of certification
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
• PCQI certified
• Proficient experience in Quality/Food Safety Auditing
• Proficient experience writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• GMP Trained
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills; oral and written English.
• Ability to determine technical requirements and support.
• Ability to build and maintain effective and respectful working relationships
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, problem solve and identify issues that may arise
• Experience with MS Office
• Knowledge of quality improvement techniques and tools to manage the effectiveness of programs.
• Experience in providing client focus service to supply quality deliverables under strict time lines.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Time split between manufacturing floor and office
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
