Sirius Staffing is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for a contract position in Branchburg, NJ. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong chemistry background and hands-on laboratory experience who thrive in a fast-paced quality control environment. The QC Laboratory Technician will perform analytical testing on photolithography and specialty chemicals to ensure products meet quality specifications.
Schedule:
- Primarily 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM
- Must be flexible to work 2nd Shift (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM) as needed for business coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine quality control testing on production samples.
- Prepare samples and reagents while following established analytical procedures and standards.
- Conduct laboratory analyses including:
- Solvent content
- Viscosity
- Specific gravity
- Water content
- Color
- Normality
- pH
- Other chemical properties
- Review analytical data to verify compliance with product specifications.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and test results.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments and perform routine maintenance.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and laboratory teams to ensure timely testing and product release.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or another related scientific discipline plus 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or another related scientific discipline with demonstrated laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Quality Control or Analytical Laboratory.
- Experience performing routine chemical analyses.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical data and maintain accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation.
- Experience with SAP or LIMS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety and quality.
