Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Repair or replace auto body parts and perform welding as needed to restore vehicle integrity.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components following manufacturer specifications.
- Work on ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and ensure proper functioning of safety features.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair findings clearly to customers while providing excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with auto body repair is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across powertrain components including transmissions and engine systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly and professionally. Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
