Job Title: ABA Therapist
Reports To: The Director, Assistant Director, and Supervising BCBA’s
Position Summary
The ABA Therapist provides direct behavioral intervention services to children ages 2-18 years old diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental or behavioral disabilities.Services are provided under the supervision of a BCBA and are designed to improve communication, social, behavioral, academic, and daily living skills through the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to assigned clients.
● Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
● Collect accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data during each session.
● Assist clients in developing communication, social, self-help, academic readiness, and
daily living skills.
● Utilize positive behavior support strategies and reinforcement techniques.
● Maintain professional communication with supervisors, caregivers, school personnel,
and other members of the treatment team.
● Attend required supervision meetings, trainings, and staff meetings.
● Follow all company policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, safety, and professional
conduct.
● Report client concerns, safety issues, or significant behavioral changes to the
supervising BCBA promptly.
● Check work email weekly for updates regarding policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent required and be at least 18 years of age; associate or
bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, special education, human services, or a
related field preferred.
● Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
● Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification(not required)
● Ability to work independently while following clinical direction.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
● Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and move throughout therapy sessions.
● Ability to lift or assist with up to 50 pounds when necessary.
● Ability to respond quickly to behavioral situations while maintaining a safe environment.
● Must be able to safely respond to challenging behaviors, which may include occasional
hitting, kicking, biting, scratching, pinching, or other physical aggression, using approved
intervention techniques and safety procedures.
Work Environment
Services are provided at the center.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
