Overview
A growing manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping activities, and team performance. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate distribution processes while driving productivity, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse and distribution center operations.
- Oversee inventory control, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
- Optimize warehouse layouts and product slotting to improve efficiency and order accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Develop work schedules, assign priorities, and manage workflow to meet operational goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, and inventory accuracy metrics.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational consistency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and transportation processes.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or similar inventory management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience leading teams of 20+ employees.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or process optimization methodologies.
- Familiarity with palletization, load planning, shipping requirements, and warehouse best practices.
