<Job Summary>
The School-Age Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 5–12. This role includes planning and implementing activities that support academic enrichment, social development, and recreational enjoyment in a before- and/or after-school setting.
<Responsibilities>
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework support, arts and crafts, games, and physical activities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Assist children with homework and encourage good study habits
- Maintain daily schedules and routines
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children’s progress and behavior
- Enforce program rules and behavior expectations consistently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents
<Qualifications>
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred
- Credentials I & II Certifcation
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, ideally with preschool experience or private school background.
- Classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education and math instruction
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, community resources, staff, and Office Adminstration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for all young learners.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
