Job Overview
The Safety Manager monitors workplace activities to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety regulations. The Safety Manager will manage the organization's safety programs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the safety programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs.
- Reviews current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
- Submits recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
- Stops operations and activities that could harm staff or equipment.
- Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Share environmental safety information with appropriate levels in the organization.
- Prepares and implements departmental budget.
- Review accident and incident reports.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
NOTE: You must be comfortable traveling to multiple locations; adapt to operational needs, e.g., available for on-call incidents
Required Experience and Certifications
1. You must have no less than 6 years of heavy construction safety work experience
2. OSHA 30 Certificate
3. CPR/First Aid Certificate
4. Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or similar professional certification
Preferred Certifications:
1. Traffic Control Flagger (TCF)
2. Traffic Control Technician (TCT)
3. Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS)
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
