We are a small company with multiple responsibilities for the right candidate. Skills that are a plus are previous warehouse work, Driving and delivery experience, Vending machine knowledge.
This position would ensure all processes for stocking the vending machines (VMs) assigned to this person are executed and optimizing the sale of the product.
Drive a delivery vehicle to the VM locations and park vehicle in suitable locations as to stock the VMs without hampering normal flow of traffic at the location.
Fill the VMs with product, including ensuring expiration dates are understood and followed in terms of keeping the product current
Keep the VMs and micro-markets clean and presentable to the buying public
Optimizing route efficiencies by taking the best route, only servicing machines that are in need of service and helping management to schedule those stops with the appropriate timing (When needed, twice a week, once a week, once every two weeks, once a month, etc)
Notifying the Operations Manager if there are any abnormal issues that would affect demand of product from the assigned VMs or micro-market (such as holidays, work breaks, turn-arounds, an event that would affect demand, etc)
Ensuring the vehicle assigned that delivers the product to the VMs is in good working order and is clean and presentable to customer locations
Ensuring the VMs and micro-markets assigned are themselves in good working order
Ensuring the VMs assigned equipment is up to date and effective (like adding coins for change, keeping priced updated, adding accessories such as spoons, dexing the machine, etc)
Assists in the movement of the VMs to and from a particular location for its effective operation.
Ensuring the check in and check out process and gathering of the physical cash from the VMs assigned is done and complete on a daily basis.
Will assist to fill any gaps with the routes of the delivery employees. So if someone is scheduled to be on vacation or holiday or unscheduled sick days or unexpected days off can be covered appropriately.
May assist in the pre-kitting of the orders assigned for merchandising and fill in subsequent routes, this may require computer literacy and being able to navigate standard computer software programs
Will assist in the stocking of product in the warehouse from suppliers to ensure an orderly, safe and clean warehouse environment.
Will stock the assigned truck with snack and beverage product as appropriate to support the filling of VMs but with knowledge that the product is date sensitive and in some cases temperature sensitive so as to minimize food spoilage or expiration
Seek out new opportunities first with the base customers that we already have in place, (new locations for vending, ie. a food machine or pop machine or snack machine or micro-market where it is not already in place), then with any new customers that may need to be serviced in the future. This is all done in conjunction with the Account Manager of the GF2G so that there is cohesive customer relations and rollouts of new opportunities.
This position would also partner with the Operations Manager to do the following functions:
Other tasks will be assigned as appropriate and as the company needs arise such as setting up new micro market locations, moving and in some cases disposing of VMs as needed, fixing machinery or vehicles, etc.
Taking Inventory of the vending machines and the credit card readers out in the field.
Making sure that the vending reports associated with the routes are printed and given to the drivers, in some cases this also means picking product for those orders at the end of the day.
Optimize routes so that drivers are very efficient on a daily basis, this may include identifying and either upgrading locations or getting rid of locations.
Learning the micro-market systems and setting up properly with inventory counts on a regular basis.
Possibly ordering product from our vendors on a weekly or monthly basis
This position, as all positions in the company, has the responsibility to serve the customer and their requests. This is of major importance for the success of the company and will be expected from each employee. The Merchandiser keeps regular customer requirements such as, they have the right type of VM or VMs at their location and that the contract is being executed as agreed upon. (such as price of product, any regulations that need to be met, etc)

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
