We’re looking for:
Automotive Technicians (A/B level) – $19–$25/hr (based on experience)
NYS DMV Certified Vehicle Inspector – competitive pay (inspection blocks available)
Service Advisor / Service Writer – customer-focused, strong communication, able to write estimates & manage workflow
Automotive Intern / Trainee (Entry-Level) – $17–$19/hr (based on experience) with training + clear growth path
Tech/Inspector requirements: valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, solid work ethic (NYS Inspector license required for inspector role).
Intern/Trainee: eager to learn, punctual, comfortable with hands-on shop work; auto school/BOCES is a plus (not required).

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension components, and more
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, vehicle suspension, electrical wiring, and transmission systems
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex electrical problems
- Repair or replace components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engines, and other critical vehicle parts
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure proper handling and safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair findings clearly to team members and customers
Experience
- Dealership experience or equivalent in a fast-paced automotive service environment is highly preferred
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures including transmission repairs, powertrain work, and vehicle electrical systems
- Knowledge of automotive wiring diagram interpretation, ADAS calibration, and diesel engine repair is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to use automotive diagnostic tools effectively along with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical knowledge
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients while providing expert advice on vehicle issues
