Position Overview
Asmara Behavioral Services is seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Manager to support the delivery and oversight of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in ABA principles, demonstrated experience preparing documentation for major insurance providers, and the ability to supervise field staff with professionalism and clinical accuracy. This role is instrumental in ensuring quality of care, continuity of services, and adherence to payer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation and ongoing monitoring of individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Support the development and refinement of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), drawing on functional assessment data and clinical best practices.
- Provide direct oversight, guidance, and performance feedback to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and ABA Therapists.
- Prepare, review, and submit documentation—including progress reports, treatment updates, and authorization requests—to insurance providers, with a strong working knowledge of Anthem, CalOptima, Molina, and Aetna guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical data collection and reporting using electronic health record systems.
- Act as a liaison between the clinical team, families, and funding sources to facilitate clear and professional communication.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA, and payor-specific requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or currently enrolled in a master’s program) in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related human services field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in ABA service delivery, including responsibility for insurance documentation and clinical reporting.
- Demonstrated familiarity with insurance procedures, documentation standards, and clinical reporting requirements for Anthem, CalOptima, Molina, or Aetna.
- Proven experience in contributing to or drafting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency with data collection platforms (e.g., CentralReach, Catalyst) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting Behavior Technicians and/or RBTs.
- Bilingual fluency (Spanish preferred).
- Experience working within Medi-Cal–funded ABA programs or managed care environments.
- Familiarity with insurance authorization, reauthorization, and utilization review processes.
- Experience providing parent training or collaborating with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated time-management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of ABA data collection platforms (e.g., CentralReach) beyond basic use.
- Experience supporting or working toward BCBA certification.
