Overview
Under the direction of the Tooling Supervisor, the Mold Maker is responsible for modifications/repair of existing tooling.
Requirements

Please note: This position works overtime as needed, generally 45 to 50 hours per week.
1. Perform injection mold maintenance to include disassembly, cleaning, insert changing, and basic repair.
1. Maintain the preventive maintenance records for tooling per established procedures.
2. Assure tool readiness according to the production schedule.
3. Recommend changes required to part design, tool design or equipment capability to achieve acceptable quality and cost requirements.
4. As needed, working with both the tool room supervisor and tooling engineers, preform modifications to NEW tooling to achieve proper part tolerances.
5. Participate and offer input to corrective and preventive action and continuous improvement projects.
6. Maintain proper housekeeping practices and mold storage requirements.
7. Communicate with company employees in a positive, team-oriented manner.
8. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and standards.
9. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
Qualifications
1. Experience in plastic injection mold making & repair required.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
