Join our compassionate healthcare team as a PRN (as-needed) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is fluent in Spanish! Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and medical documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support patient transfer methods, including manual handling techniques, to ensure safe movement within the facility.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members in Spanish to provide clear updates and compassionate care.
- Administer medications under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support, or post-acute care as required.
- Follow aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including long-term care facilities, hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience), outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments.
Skills
- Fluent in Spanish with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse patient populations.
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
- Experience in acute or chronic care settings including ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and demonstrate proper manual handling techniques.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient service and family interaction.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
