Beacon Commercial Door and Lock is a leading supplier of commercial doors, frames and hardware for new construction projects, providing products to clients nationwide. We are seeking a talented individual who is willing to join our dedicated team.
Beacon has been experiencing steady growth and we need individuals who are willing to invest in learning the industry and move up within our company. We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented, organized Estimating Coordinator to be a part of our estimating team.
This job involves developing business opportunities in the new construction market by maintaining and servicing our customers. This position is responsible for providing and maintaining a high level of customer service and effectively providing solutions for our customers. This should be done in a timely manner, with high quality products and knowledge, while maintaining a return on sales consistent with company expectations.
Responsibilities
- Enter bid requests from emails received daily into tracking software
- Tracking progress of bids
- Responsible for booking awarded proposals.
- Pursue new business through current customer relationships
- Generate estimating team reports weekly
- Maintain estimating team calendar and files
- Set up and maintain a filing system for the estimating team to use
- Learn and understand architectural drawing and specifications
- Provide general support for 2 estimating teams
- Ability to prioritize and organize proposals/bid information and stay up to date on upcoming projects
- Obtain extensive industry product knowledge
- Execute tasks and assignments in an effective, accurate and timely manner
- Return phone calls in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and orderly desk and office space
- Occasionally estimating small projects with quick turn around times
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the estimating process is helpful
- Ability to understand and operate automated tasks using AI tools
- Shop drawing/submittals
- Problem solving skills gained through industry education, product knowledge and service
- Follow directions from a supervisor
- Able to communicate effectively
- Ability to work as a team member
- Able to understand and comply with company handbook, rules and procedures
- Admin experience
- Customer service experience
- Door and hardware experience a plus
- Efficient in computer software programs or able to learn quickly
- General organizational skills
- General math skills
Additional Information
Schedule:
Regular business hours are
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay:
Starting pay: $22-$26/hour, depending on experience

This is in-office located at: 2770 South West Temple, South Salt Lake, UT 84115
