We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our wonderful team! The shift hours would consist of working 40 hour weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications under the direction of a healthcare provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting specimens and performing venipuncture
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Provide medical administrative support, including coding and billing
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Anatomy and physiology knowledge to understand patient conditions and procedures
- Proficiency in medical terminology to accurately document patient information
- Experience with medication administration, including injections
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
