American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of recent ER experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
-
Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
-
High acuity, high-volume ER environment
-
Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Every other weekend required
-
Skills required include: blood product administration, central line care/management, IV starts, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, ortho-trauma, and pediatric-specific cases including identifying and reporting abuse, near drowning, respiratory infections, and seizures

Active AL RN license or compact RN license (pending license accepted for consideration)

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Fit Test required

CPI and TNCC certifications preferred

Minimum one year of recent ER experience required

Travel nursing experience preferred

Level II Trauma experience preferred

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate

Prior permanent employees of this facility are not eligible for this travel assignment

RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the assignment

Hospital housing is available and consists of shared units with shared common spaces and private bedrooms; units are gender-separated and no dogs are allowed; travelers coordinate housing directly with the facility

The facility is located in a remote area, making on-site housing a recommended option
-
Economy-class flight reimbursement is available; travelers must submit a detailed flight and luggage receipt to receive reimbursement

Flight itinerary must be submitted one week prior to the start date; the facility will assist with airport pickup upon arrival
