American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound/Ostomy Care position at an acute care hospital, requiring a Wound Ostomy Care certification and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Work in the Wound Care unit of a 233-bed acute care hospital
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:00–15:30)

Responsibilities include VAC changes, dressing changes, and wound photo documentation (rover)

Peritoneal dialysis experience is required for this role
-
Charting is performed in Epic
-
One weekend shift required every 6 weeks
-
Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
-
No on-call requirements

Block scheduling is not available
-
Active MO RN license or compact RN license required; pending IL license may be considered (must be noted at time of consideration)

Current certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Wound Ostomy Care (WOC) certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of wound care nursing experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Navy blue scrubs required; artificial nails are not permitted

No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
