Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in assembling and refining electronic components, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Your expertise will contribute to the production of reliable, high-performance electronic products by performing precise soldering tasks, interpreting schematics, and utilizing various hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Perform soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques in accordance with IPC 610 standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately assemble electronic components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other measurement instruments to ensure precise assembly and quality control.
- Conduct electrical wiring connections, component placement, and mechanical assembly of electronic modules.
- Verify solder joints for quality and compliance with industry standards; inspect assemblies for defects or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to soldering processes or component placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols related to manufacturing and electrical work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with PCB assembly, soldering techniques, and surface mount technology (SMT).
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and machining equipment effectively.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Prior experience working in manufacturing environments involving electronics or similar fields preferred. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
