Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a variety of facilities and equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and drywall work to uphold property standards.
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Operate welding equipment safely to repair or fabricate metal components as needed.
- Maintain facilities by inspecting systems, replacing parts, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with manufacturing or production-related tasks when required, supporting team efforts to meet operational goals.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with welding, electrical repairs, and residential painting.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in maintenance or labor roles is a plus.
