Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Property Maintenance & Grounds Technician to maintain two self-storage properties. This role is approximately 90% outdoors and requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and help keep both facilities clean, safe, secure, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain property appearance through landscaping, weed control, trimming, and trash removal.
- Clean and prepare vacated storage units for new tenants.
- Perform basic repairs to unit doors, latches, locks, and hardware.
- Cut and remove locks as required.
- Conduct routine property inspections and report major repair needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment at both locations.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic maintenance, repair, and handyman skills.
- Able to perform outdoor physical work (approximately 90% of the job) in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between properties.
- Maintenance, landscaping, or property care experience preferred.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible hours (25-30 hours). Because most duties are performed outdoors, work schedules can be adjusted as needed during periods of extreme heat, with early morning or later afternoon hours preferred to promote safety while ensuring all responsibilities are completed.
Compensation
$`15-$15.50 per hour
