Overview
The Early Childhood Director will oversee all aspects of the Early Childhood Center in conjunction with the Principal. The Early Childhood Director will ensure high-quality educational programming that integrates Christian teachings with developmentally appropriate practices using administrative expertise and a passion for nurturing young children’s spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth.
Responsibilities
- Actively live out and model a growing Christian faith through worship, Bible study, prayer, and servant leadership, while encouraging the same in faculty, staff, and students.
- Collaborate with the Principal and ministry staff to align school practices with the mission and ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church and School.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum tailored to early childhood development standards and best practices.
- Oversee daily operations of the early childhood program, including staff supervision, classroom management, and student engagement.
- Manage budgets effectively as an education administrator, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality programming.
- Facilitate professional development sessions for staff to enhance instructional leadership, classroom strategies, and compliance with educational regulations.
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals for growth, quality assurance, and community outreach.
- Ensure adherence to all legal requirements related to early childhood education and educational compliance standards.
- Conduct faculty evaluations and supervise early childhood staff to promote a collaborative team environment focused on excellence in education.
- Build strong, Christ-centered relationships with students and families through daily interactions, encouragement, and presence on campus.
- Stay informed about current trends in childhood development and early education policy to ensure our programs remain innovative and compliant.
- Collaborate, support, and supervise the Extended Day Program Director to provide families with an engaging afterschool program.
- Organize and lead a summer camp program.
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree in early childhood education or administration with a minimum of 5 years of classroom experience.
- State of Florida Director Credential.
- Demonstrates a consistent Christian lifestyle and commitment to congregational life and mission.
- Proven experience in school administrative leadership within early childhood settings, including managing budgets and personnel management in education.
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum development, instructional leadership in early childhood development principles.
- Strong understanding of educational compliance regulations and legal requirements for early childhood programs.
- Experience facilitating professional development for educators and supervising school staff effectively.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
