At Elite Medical Transport our Paramedics and EMTs (at all levels) are responsible for responding to requests for medical care and transport of patients in a wide variety of circumstances, from calls to 9-1-1 to requests from local healthcare facilities. Employees in this position must be able to:

Examine and evaluate patients to determine the necessary physical, environmental and psychological care

Provide this care according to their level of certification/licensure, assigned Job Description and Clinical Practice Guidelines

Provide patients with this care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment

Document patient information, condition, and treatment according to policy

Gather patient data and ancillary medical records according to policy

Obtain necessary information and signatures for patient financial services
-
Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
-
Transport patients in accordance with policies and procedures
-
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
-
Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
-
Operate an IBM-compatible computer and report on services provided using a desktop application

A minimum of either a high school diploma or a GED as evidence of completion of a high school education
-
A current state certification (license, if applicable) at the level required by the requisition (EMT Basic, Intermediate/Advanced or Paramedic.

A valid driver's license
-
American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and/or American Heart Association BCLS certification
-
American Heart Association ACLS certification (for PARAMEDICS only)
-
FEMA ICS 100 & 200, IC 700 & 800 certification within 30 days
Applicants must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements:

Appropriately deal with stress and maintain composure when encountering serious injuries or illnesses.

Physical strength and dexterity and the ability to function in very adverse environments with exposure to numerous safety risks typically found at emergency scenes. A detailed analysis of those requirements is available upon request.
