Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings with enthusiasm.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Scoop ice cream with precision, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained at all times.
- Manage customer orders, upsell products, and provide exceptional service to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Restock supplies, organize storage areas, and ensure the store remains inviting and well-maintained throughout your shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is highly preferred; experience with quick service or fast food restaurants is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; retail sales transactions experience is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food safety protocols diligently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that engages guests positively.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation, and maintaining a clean workspace within a restaurant or café environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food industry procedures is essential.
