Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled General Contractor to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive member with a comprehensive understanding of construction management, technical expertise across various trades, and exceptional organizational skills. Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately interpret project requirements
- Conduct construction inspections to verify quality standards, safety compliance, and progress milestones
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication processes on-site
- Ensure proper installation of plumbing, roofing, flooring, tile laying, masonry, drywall (including plastering), stucco, caulking, trim carpentry, door hanging, glass installation, cabinet installation, concrete forming/finishing and other trades
- Implement construction estimating procedures to accurately forecast costs and resource needs
- Lead remodeling projects and restoration efforts with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular site inspections
Experience
- Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a senior construction management role
- Knowledge of construction management practices across residential, commercial or industrial projects
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
- Skilled in construction estimating techniques and cost control measures
- Familiarity with construction inspection procedures for quality assurance and safety compliance
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and power tools safely on active sites
- Background in various trades including carpentry (frame carpentry), masonry, roofing, flooring installation (including tile), welding, restoration work, hardscape development and glass/cabinet installation
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety regulations applicable to diverse construction environments
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards for craftsmanship and safety standards
