Position Summary
South Lakeland Dental is seeking an experienced, energetic, and patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in helping patients understand their treatment needs, coordinating financial arrangements, and ensuring a seamless patient experience from diagnosis through completion of care.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident discussing treatment plans and finances, knowledgeable in dental insurance, and passionate about helping patients achieve their oral health goals.
Responsibilities
- Present treatment plans and explain recommended care to patients
- Review financial options and assist patients with payment arrangements
- Verify insurance benefits and estimate patient portions accurately
- Follow up on unscheduled treatment and outstanding treatment plans
- Coordinate scheduling for restorative, specialty, and hygiene treatment
- Maintain treatment acceptance goals and patient retention initiatives
- Communicate effectively with doctors, clinical team members, and patients
- Track production goals and assist in achieving office growth objectives
- Ensure an exceptional patient experience at every interaction
- Manage patient concerns professionally and efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dental treatment coordinating experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and treatment planning
- Experience with Dentrix preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of financing options and case acceptance strategies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
