Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. You will work with pediatric patients from birth to 18 but your clientele will be catered to your skills and interests. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities. The Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in a variety of treatment methods; sensory integration, reflex integration, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in case management to coordinate care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for improving abilities.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
Requirements
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and human physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience in various settings such as clinics, geriatrics, pediatrics, ICU, or skilled nursing facilities
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational therapy.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
