Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Provide quality care and supervision for toddlers and Preschool, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging exploration, creativity, and social interaction among students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including cognitive, emotional, and physical skills.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns or questions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to enhance educational offerings.
- Utilize Montessori principles where applicable to support individualized learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in a daycare or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is required.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development for early childhood education.
- Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude with the ability to manage classroom dynamics positively.
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree required for this position
- 2 letters of recommendation from previous employer or instructor
