Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pizza Cook to join our dope lil community spot in Black Hawk. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality pizzas that genuinely, most people call "the best pizza in the county", and ensure they're absolutely delighted with their experience every time they walk through our door. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, attention to detail, and culinary skills should only be matched by your sense of humor and willingness not to take yourself too seriously. You'll get to meet your neighbors and community and genuinely be part of something pretty special in Black Hawk.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pizza ingredients with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Cook pizzas to perfection using appropriate oven techniques, monitoring temperature and cooking times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including food prep areas and equipment
- Be a fast learner, we've got this cooking pizza stuff down pretty well - we'll teach ya.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new toppings or specialty pizzas to enhance customer options
- Support the team during busy hours by efficiently serving orders and managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Experience
- Prior pizza experience preferred, or fast-casual experience.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques are essential for crafting high-quality pizzas
- Background in catering or large-scale food service helps in managing volume and maintaining consistency
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and culinary practices will support your success in this role
- Previous experience with menu planning or developing new dishes is a plus, showcasing creativity and culinary insight
