We are looking for a licensed Loan Officer Assistant who can step into a fast-paced environment, support a dedicated Loan Officer, and help keep loans moving efficiently from application to closing.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who is confident working in the broker world, experienced with multiple lenders, highly organized, and capable of making an immediate impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support a dedicated Loan Officer throughout the mortgage process
- Structure and register loans through multiple wholesale lenders
- Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation
- Communicate with borrowers, Realtors, title companies, insurance agents, and lenders
- Manage loan milestones and follow up on outstanding conditions
- Submit complete and accurate files to processing and underwriting
- Help maintain pipeline flow from application to closing
- Provide consistent updates and excellent customer service
- Assist with follow-up and relationship-building activities
- Work closely with processing and operations to ensure smooth closings
What We’re Looking For
- Active NMLS license required
- Indiana and Kentucky licensing preferred
- Previous Loan Officer Assistant experience required
- Mortgage processing experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in the mortgage broker channel preferred
- Experience registering loans with multiple wholesale lenders
- Strong understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team-first attitude with a strong work ethic
