Responsibilities

- Support cooking activities by handling basic kitchen tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Help with food service duties, including plating dishes and serving meals to customers or residents
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen operations, including knife skills and proper use of kitchen appliances
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry environment demonstrates strong food service skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment
- Culinary experience including meal preparation, knife skills, and catering support will enhance your effectiveness in this role
- Prior kitchen experience involving food service or restaurant work is highly valued for this position
