Senior Pastor
Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of Austin
We are seeking a dedicated, ordained Senior Pastor to lead Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of Austin. Our ideal candidate will have a vision to grow the church both spiritually and numerically, guiding us with integrity, compassion, and a passion for outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preach biblical, expository sermons and lead weekly worship services.
- Provide pastoral care, counseling, and hospital visits.
- Lead community outreach and engagement initiatives.
- Mentor church staff and lay leaders.
- Officiate special ceremonies, such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals.
- Collaborate with the Board of Trustees on strategic planning and church growth.
Qualifications:
- Ordained and licensed in the Baptist denomination.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven ministry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- A heart for community and a passion for outreach.
- Strong expository preaching and teaching skills.
Key Principles for Leadership:
The Pastor will exhibit leadership qualities found in the Scriptures:
Disciple Maker: Ephesians 4:11-12, Acts 20:28, planting the gospel and equipping all believers.
Having a Shepard’s Heart: 1 Peter 5:2-3, Leading with a gentle hand
Character: Evidence of a vibrant personal spiritual life, integrity, and adherence to Matthew 20:25-28, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 2Timothy 4:2, and Titus 1:7.
These scriptures will guide the Pastor’s leadership and faithfulness.
Pay: $100.00 - $300.00 per day
