Job Description:
North Florida Child Development seeks a passionate Teachers to provide age-appropriate curriculum instruction and developmentally supportive activities for preschool and/or infant/toddler classrooms. The role focuses on fostering children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while meeting Head Start Performance Standards and Florida childcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement daily lesson plans.

Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Conduct assessments, parent conferences, and home visits.

Supervise children, ensuring ratios and safety standards are met.

Collaborate with parents and staff to support each child’s development.
Qualifications:

National CDA or FCCPC certification required; must enroll in an Associate’s degree program in Early Childhood Education.

2+ years of experience in an early education classroom.

Ability to meet Florida DCF training requirements within the specified timeframe.
Skills:
-
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Knowledge of early childhood education best practices, including Creative Curriculum and Conscious Discipline.

Physical ability to engage with children (e.g., kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.).
Other Requirements:

Level 2 background check and drug screening.

Completion of required training courses.
