Our client in Taylor, MI is in need of experienced Mig Welders for their facility. 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts, Monday-Friday with possible overtime, $21-$26 per hour depending on experience. Must have leather steel toed work boots, welding shield and jacket.
The essential functions of the job include:
- Operating machinery and equipment as directed
- Processing parts (form, cut, grind, weld, clean, finish, assemble, package and transport)
- Cleaning and other general shop tasks
- Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Equipment operated as part of the essential functions: (includes but is not limited to):
- MIG-TIG welders, oxyacetylene torch, hand grinding tools and saws, forklift truck, telephone and computer and related technology.
Attendance/Hours required as part of the essential functions:
- Full time, 40 hour, 5 day work week unless the company approves less than full-time employment.
- Overtime to accommodate production schedules may be required.
Physical requirements which are part of the essential functions:
- Standing, sitting, moving, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping hearing or equivalent, sight-visual acuity.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers including fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism
- Skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects
- Coordinating the movement of more than one limb simultaneously and bending or stooping repeatedly or continually over time.
Mental requirements which are part of the essential functions:
- The ability to read and understand job instructions
- Effectively communicate and interact with others.
Educational and or prior experience requirements include:
- Must be familiar with general metalworking and stamping equipment.
- Production welders will receive 6-10 weeks training or have related MIGTIG welding experience.

- Typical conditions for a manufacturing environment.
Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to:
- Safety glasses, hearing protection (optional), appropriate shoes, loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Quality of work you must produce which is part of the essential functions:
- All parts produced must meet stated QC and customer specifications.
- The individual in this position must consistently meet these specifications.
Quantity of work you must produce which is part of the essential functions:
- Each job will have a quantity of parts expected to be completed on each shift. The individual in this position must consistently meet these specifications.
