The YOUTH PERFORMANCE COACH will be responsible for delivering science-based, sport-specific strength and conditioning programs to youth athletes. Ages range from 10-18. They will play a key role in optimizing athletic performance, reducing injury risk, and fostering long-term athletic development in a positive, competitive environment.
Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Athlete Development:
- Design and coach age-appropriate training programs for athletes ages 10-18.
- Teach fundamental movement skills before progressing to advanced performance training.
- Develop speed, agility, acceleration, multi-directional movement, strength, power, coordination, mobility, and conditioning.
- Individualize programming based on training age, biological maturity, injury history, and sport demands.
- Monitor athlete progress through regular performance testing and evaluations.
- Ensure proper exercise technique and maintain the highest coaching standards.
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Lead high-energy group training sessions.
- Provide individual coaching and technical instruction.
- Demonstrate all exercises clearly and safely.
- Deliver consistent feedback that improves performance and confidence.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and competitive training environment.
- Create an atmosphere where athletes enjoy working hard.
- Collaborate with sport coaches, physical therapists, and other support staff to ensure holistic athlete care.
- Assist with facility maintenance, program marketing, and community outreach as needed.
