We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment with our client in North Carolina, commencing Dec 1, 2026. This role involves 14-hour shifts from 5 PM to 7 AM, where the provider will be responsible for accepting and admitting patients, cross-covering patients on the floor and within the Hospital at Home program, and conducting virtual ED consults for regional sites.
Responsibilities and Duties

Accept and admit patients.

Cross-cover patients on the floor and within the Hospital at Home program as needed.

Provide virtual Emergency Department consults to regional sites.

Participate as a member of the Code Blue and PRRT teams alongside the ED team.

Utilize available CHIPS physician back-up via phone throughout shifts.
Additional Information

Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC).

EMR: Epic.

Work Setting: Primarily an 8-bed pediatric unit, with responsibilities extending to Hospital at Home and virtual ED consults.

Shift Hours: 14-hour shifts from 5 PM to 7 AM.

Patient Volume: Average daily census of 6 patients on the pediatric unit.

Support: Collaboration with an on-site Pediatric ED team for Code Blue and PRRT, with physician back-up accessible by phone throughout the shift.
