Job Summary:
The Fixture Builder is responsible for assembling custom fixtures using a variety of materials including wood, steel, foam, and other components. This role involves working with pre-cut materials and using hand and power tools to build accurate and functional tooling. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with tools and measurements in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Fixture Assembly & Fabrication
- Assemble fixtures using wood, steel, pins, foam, and other materials
- Work with pre-cut materials to build final tooling products
- Follow instructions and layouts to ensure accurate assembly
Tool Use & Measurement
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Read and use a tape measure to ensure precise measurements
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the build process
Production Support
- Organize materials and components for efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications:
Required:
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good memory and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Preferred:
- Background in woodworking, welding, or mechanical work
- Previous experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to tools, materials, and equipment
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Hands-on, fast-paced production setting
