This is a 40 hour per week position.
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
This position may require traveling to all of our locations.

Responsibilities:
Optical Dispensing Optician Level 1 provides exceptional patient care by assisting patients in selecting eyewear and contact lenses that best meet their visual, medical, lifestyle, and financial needs. This position is responsible for accurately interpreting prescriptions, obtaining precise optical measurements, educating patients on available products, processing orders, dispensing eyewear, performing adjustments and repairs, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the overall success of the Optical Department through outstanding customer service and teamwork.
The Level 1 Optician demonstrates competency in routine optical dispensing while continuing to develop advanced optical knowledge and technical skills.
Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous customer service experience required.

Optical experience preferred.

Basic computer proficiency.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications

ABO Certification preferred but not required.

Previous ophthalmology or optometry experience preferred.

Contact lens experience preferred.
