Part-Time Private Companion Caregiver / Home Care Aide

About the Position
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy caregivers to assist with the care of our 95-year-old grandmother in a private home environment.
We are building a small team of reliable caregivers who can provide flexible coverage based on our family's scheduling needs. This position is ideal for someone seeking supplemental income, flexible hours, or occasional PRN caregiving work.
Hours may range from a few hours to full-day coverage depending on family needs and caregiver availability. Hours are not guaranteed and may vary from week to week.
Our grandmother is a dialysis patient and requires companionship, supervision, assistance with meals, and general support around the home.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Prepare simple meals and assist with basic cooking
- Perform light housekeeping and household organization
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and comfortable environment
- Observe general well-being and communicate concerns to family members
- Assist while family members are away or running errands
- Be comfortable around friendly household dogs and supervise them when needed
- Remain attentive, engaged, and dependable throughout each shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous caregiving or elder care experience
- CNA, PCA, Home Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, Nursing Student, or similar healthcare background
- CPR and/or First Aid certification
- Experience working with seniors
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a private family home
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must be willing to complete a drug screening
- Must provide professional or personal references
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be respectful, patient, dependable, and trustworthy
- Non-smoker preferred
