Duties
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and organization for incoming guests
- Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately using safe handling practices
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing as needed
- Support the kitchen staff with basic food handling tasks and light food preparation when required
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving supplies, trays, or equipment around the restaurant
- Ensure proper food running procedures are followed to uphold food safety standards and guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and guest needs in person and via POS systems is Toast
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Familiarity with restaurant operations such as bussing, serving, and food running enhances your fit for this role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
