Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with hands-on experience across multiple areas of carpentry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to take a project from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood and other materials
- Install and repair doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and molding
- Frame walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs
- Construct and install staircases, decks, porches, and railings
- Perform drywall hanging, finishing, and repairs
- Handle cabinetry, shelving, and custom woodwork
- Repair and replace damaged wood structures from water, fire, or storm damage
- Operate and maintain power tools, hand tools, and woodworking machinery
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and team members
- Perform finishing work including sanding, staining, and painting touch-ups
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven carpentry experience (restoration or construction industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Preferred Experience (Not Required but a Plus)
- Water, fire, or storm damage restoration
- Flooring installation (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile)
- Knowledge of building codes and OSHA safety standards
- Light plumbing, electrical, or general handyman skills
- Familiarity with insurance restoration projects
