Overview
Synergy Health 360 is seeking a friendly, professional, and outgoing Medical Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team. We are a multi-specialty healthcare organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through collaboration, innovation, and exceptional service.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in both clinical and administrative duties, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be passionate about creating a welcoming experience for patients. This position supports providers and patients across our Scottsdale and Phoenix locations and requires travel between both offices.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for provider visits.
- Obtain and document patient medical histories in the EMR.
- Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and oxygen saturation.
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Prepare and clean examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Maintain infection control and safety standards.
- Update and manage patient medical records within Athena EMR.
Front Desk & Administrative Duties
- Greet and check in patients while providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographic information.
- Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Process referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests.
- Prepare, distribute, and manage correspondence, forms, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate patient charts and office records.
- Support daily office operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
- Experience with front desk operations, patient scheduling, and insurance verification.
- Proficiency with Athena EMR preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong customer service and patient relations skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Scottsdale and Phoenix locations.
