Position Summary:
The Parts Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping Kent Power’s operations moving by ensuring our fleet and equipment teams have the right parts, at the right time, to get the job done safely and efficiently. This position serves as a key link between field operations, maintenance teams, and suppliers—helping minimize downtime, control costs, and maintain the high standards our crews depend on every day.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Own the sourcing, ordering, and coordination of parts and supplies to support fleet and equipment maintenance across the organization
- Proactively monitor inventory levels, identify replenishment needs, and ensure critical items remain in stock to avoid operational delays
- Create and maintain accurate item records within the inventory management system, including establishing new part numbers as needed
- Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring proper alignment with budgets and operational needs
- Receive and verify incoming parts and materials, confirming accuracy against packing slips and coordinating discrepancies when needed
- Partner with internal teams to understand work requests and research appropriate parts, tools, and solutions to support timely completion
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, including sourcing quotes and identifying cost-effective purchasing options
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and support ongoing inventory control processes to ensure system integrity
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline ordering, tracking, and inventory processes
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferred.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of ERP system(s) is a plus.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry.
- Ability to communicate with different stakeholders.
- Attention to detail.
