Locations: Multiple Locations In Tolland County-- Pay: Starting at $18.46/hour, with increases per union contract
We believe people with disabilities deserve more than care, they deserve a real life: good relationships, real choices, a place in their community. As a DSP, you're the person who helps someone start their day, get where they're going, and have a good day, every day.
We're hiring full-time, part-time, and per diem, all shifts including overnight.
What you'll do:
- Help someone get dressed, make breakfast, or get ready for the day
- Go along to appointments, errands, or activities in the community
- Give medications and follow care plans, with training and nursing support
- Step in calmly if something unexpected happens
What we offer:
- Health insurance, including dental, for eligible positions
- Union pension, fully employer-paid
- Paid time off
- Flexible scheduling across all shifts
What you need:
- Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent
- Standard pre-employment screening (physical, TB test)
- CPR and medication certification provided through training
Some people come to this with years of experience. Others are brand new and turn out to be exactly right. What matters most: you genuinely like people, you follow through, you show up, and you're comfortable with hands-on work like lifting, transfers, and helping with personal care.
