Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Manager / Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our dinner-only restaurant. This role is responsible for managing the Front of House team, overseeing guest experience, driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and acting as the leadership bridge between ownership and the service team.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing the dining room, coaching staff, building systems, analyzing financial performance, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Restaurant Hours
BEY is currently a dinner-only restaurant, operating Tuesday through Sunday evenings, with private events and special activations occurring throughout the week. The General Manager is expected to work evenings and weekends, particularly during peak business periods.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train FOH staff.
- Develop service standards and maintain accountability.
- Create schedules and manage labor budgets.
- Coach and mentor employees through ongoing feedback and performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, professional, hospitality-driven culture.
- Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate restaurant priorities.
Guest Experience
- Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction standards.
- Actively engage with guests during service.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor online reviews and guest feedback.
- Build relationships with regulars, VIPs, and community partners.
- Ensure every guest receives a warm and memorable experience.
Operations Management
- Oversee all front-of-house operations.
- Maintain service standards and consistency.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all guest-facing areas.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Develop and implement systems that improve efficiency and execution.
Financial Performance
- Manage labor costs and scheduling efficiency.
- Review nightly sales reports and key performance metrics.
- Drive beverage sales and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and guest frequency.
- Monitor comps, voids, discounts, and operational controls.
- Assist ownership with budgeting and forecasting.
Private Events & Sales
- Handle inquiries for private dining and special events.
- Conduct site tours and coordinate event details.
- Work with ownership to grow private event revenue.
- Maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups.
- Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events.
Beverage & Bar Leadership
- Oversee bar operations and beverage programs.
- Ensure cocktail execution and consistency.
- Maintain beverage cost controls.
- Assist with menu development and seasonal promotions.
- Train staff on wine, cocktails, spirits, and upselling techniques.
Growth Initiatives
- Help launch new programs such as:
- Hummus Hour
- Live Music Wednesdays
- Beirut After Dark
- Wine Dinners
- Private Dining Experiences
- Future lunch service expansion
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Experience with scheduling, labor management, and P&L accountability.
- Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and full-service dining operations.
- Experience managing private events and guest relations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience with Toast POS preferred.

Pay: Up to $1,200.00 per week
