Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking Journeyman Pipefitters to join a collaborative and highly respected facilities team. This is a full-time onsite contract opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment where safety, reliability, and quality workmanship are top priorities.
You will install, maintain, and repair plumbing, steam, gas, and specialized facility systems while working alongside a dedicated group of professionals in a setting that follows nationally recognized safety and performance standards. Multiple positions may be available, offering the opportunity to be part of a strong, team-oriented practice.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, steam, gas, drainage, water distribution, and related facility systems.
- Support specialized systems and equipment, including sterilizers, laundry and dietetic equipment, steam systems, and medical gas infrastructure.
- Read blueprints, follow applicable codes, and complete work independently with strong attention to safety and quality.
- Work in varied environments, including mechanical spaces, kitchens, basements, manholes, indoor areas, and outdoor areas.
- Complete daily reporting, timecards, service logs, check-in/check-out procedures, and progress updates.
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman-level Pipefitter with at least four years of trade experience.
- Active Texas plumbers/pipefitters license required.
- OSHA certification required.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow standard codes, safety practices, and facility work protocols.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, working in confined spaces, and safely operating around environmental and infection-control risks.
Schedule & Coverage
- Full-time onsite contract role
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Standard work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Initial assignment is structured for 120 workdays
- Weekends and recognized holidays are excluded
- Overtime may be available only with advance approval based on operational needs
- Potential extension periods may be available for continued coverage
