Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Coordinator to join our team. The Program Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, and support individuals with developmental disabilities in a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the individuals we serve, providing leadership to staff and working closely with families and service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individual care plans, ensuring the specific needs of each resident are met.
- Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure adherence to organizational policies and DDA regulations.
- Support residents in achieving personal goals, improving life skills, and increasing independence.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress, behavior, and any incidents or changes in health status.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals to coordinate care and services.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
- Provide on-call support as needed for emergencies and scheduling coverage.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and provide feedback on the operation and improvement of the program.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working in a residential care, group home, or similar environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of DDA regulations and the ability to implement them in daily operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental attitude.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and respect.
- Flexible and willing to work weekends, evenings, or overnight shifts as required.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it).
