After-School Sports & Games Instructor — Fontana, Redlands & Rialto
Pay: $19.00–$23.00 / hour
- Part-time, ongoing (school-year)
- Starts August 17
Love sports and love working with kids? At Active Education, we believe play is powerful. Our instructors use sports, games, and active play — soccer, basketball, flag football, dodgeball and more — to help students build teamwork, confidence, and communication, and have a blast doing it.
We're hiring energetic, reliable coaches for steady, year-round hours across our Inland Empire school programs. If you want consistent work you can build a routine around — not one-off gigs — this is it.
The Role
You'll lead structured activities, games, and sports that keep kids moving and having fun — from soccer, basketball, and flag football to dodgeball, tag, relays, and all kinds of multi-sport games. Following a set curriculum, you'll keep every student active and engaged and be a positive presence that school staff can count on.
Schedule & Hours
Core programs — our priority, steady weekly hours:
- Redlands — Monday afternoons (~2.75 hrs)
- Fontana — Tuesday to Friday afternoons, approx. 2:30–5:15 PM (~2.75 hrs/day)
That's a reliable ~14 hours/week to build your schedule around.
Bonus hours — if available:
- Rialto — in-school morning programs, up to 4 mornings/week (~2.25 hrs each)
Add these and you can reach up to ~22–23 hours/week — great if you want to build toward fuller part-time work. (Note: Rialto runs mornings and Fontana runs afternoons, so on those days you'd work a morning + afternoon schedule.)
Actual hours depend on your availability and program needs. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential — our sites span Fontana, Rialto, and Redlands.

- Teach kids how to play and keep them moving
- Encourage teamwork, social-emotional learning, and positive behavior
- Help resolve conflicts calmly and fairly
- Communicate and liaise with school staff
- Follow the Active Education curriculum
